About the Chorus
Founded in 2010, the Sun Prairie Area Chorus is a collaborative group of individuals who simply love music. Living in Sun Prairie, Madison, DeForest, Cottage Grove and other area communities, people of all ages and ability levels are welcome to join the Chorus. No audition required.
The mission of the Sun Prairie Area Chorus is to welcome, entertain and inspire audiences as we join in our collective love of choral music.
We hold two annual community concerts each year. The December concert is in collaboration with the Sun Prairie Area Community Band. We also perform twice a year for residents of Oakwood Village Prairie Ridge. Over the years, we have sung at various community events, including the Sun Prairie Area Food Pantry's annual Christmas Concert. We have also had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem at UW-Madison sporting events and for both the Madison Mallards and Madison Night Mares.
